Oscar winner Paul Scofield dies, 86
The Oscar-winning worker Saul Scofield has died. He was 86.
His agent said he died peacefully yesterday in a hospital nigh his home in Sussex.
He had been diagnosed with cancer of the blood.
One of Britain's greatest phase actors, Paul Scofield north Korean won the Academy Award for his personation of Lowell Thomas More in 'A Man for Completely Seasons'; his other screen credits included 'Quiz Show', 'King Lear' and 'The Train'.
